Our School and Safe Campus

“While it is important to educate children, what is much more pressing is the need to love them. When education becomes more important than love, it is no longer education at all. For, tending to the delicate spirit of children is foundational if education is to fulfill its intended purpose of serving the greater whole.”
~ Vince Gowmon

Welcome!

LifeHouse Early Childhood Center (LECC) offers incomparable care and preschool education on the beautiful, new, state-of-the-art LifeHouse Church-MOT campus for children of all ages (infants aged 6 weeks, toddlers, preschool, and before and after school care) in an environment intentionally designed for young learners. Our classrooms and campus are created to inspire curiosity and exploration among young learners while focusing on a safe, loving, and supportive atmosphere just like home. Days are based around academic structure; however, curriculum and classroom allow the teachers and children to explore and be creative. Children have many opportunities to make choices, experiment, and interact with others so children are proactive in their learning. Developmentally appropriate lesson plans allow each student to learn at their own pace to encourage an atmosphere where every student love to learn!

A Child’s Safety is LECC’s Number One Priority

Incomparable care and preschool education. A safe, loving, and supportive atmosphere just like home.

Safe Campus

LifeHouse’s Early Childhood Center (LECC) is licensed under Delaware’s Office of Child Care Licensing and complies with all DELACARE regulations created to protect the health, safety, well-being, and positive development of children. These regulations/standards relate to our facility, staff, health and safety procedures, nutrition, teacher/child ratios, record keeping, and much more.

Background Checks

LECC conducts a comprehensive background check on all prospective employees and frequent visitors. The background check consists of a county criminal record check for the past seven years performed in all counties that a person has lived, worked, or attended school. In addition to the county criminal search, a sex offender search, and social security verification trace are also conducted. For all center employees, program licensing background checks required by the state are also performed.

Camera Monitoring System

Additionally, LECC has installed a state-of-the-art camera monitoring system available to families on Windows computers as well as their smartphones. The facility cameras allow you to watch live video of your child learning, playing, and interacting with other children in the center.

The service implements 128bit encryption combined with a multi-layer security process to prevent unauthorized access to our center cameras. In addition, room level permissions are added to each user, ensuring that users are limited to which cameras they have access to. Essentially, the web camera service extends our own open-door policy; the same parents and/or guardians that can physically stop in during the day to watch a class are given web camera access to watch their child online. The website access just makes “dropping in” much more convenient. If you are interested in our secured-monitoring system, you can sign up with our Center Director at the time of enrollment. If it is not something you are immediately interested in, you can always add this service later.

Lastly, we also have an accountability program where our Center Director always has full access to every classroom. This accountability practice is important to LECC as an extra level of security.
